Beginnings

When I started at Delta Community Presbyterian Church in 2013, I started sending out a weekly email to the congregation which I called Spiritual Nuggets.  I wanted to be able to give them something to think about, a nugget of Biblical truth, that they would be able to use throughout the week.  It is with that same idea that I am starting this blog.

I have never blogged before, but as we go on this journey together, I pray that I will be able to help you, the reader, in your own spiritual walk with God.  I will talk about my sermon for the week, but I want to expand and talk about other issues.  I will be starting my Doctor of Ministry classes in June at San Francisco Theological Seminary, and I want to be able to share what I will be learning there as well.  My DMin concentration will be Pastor as Spriritual Leader, and that should really give me a wide range of topics to discuss.

I also want this to be a venue where the reader will be challenged to grow and expand their understanding of their faith.  That means that I want to hear feedback from the readers.  I want to stay away from politics, instead focusing on issues of personal and spiritual growth.  So if this sounds like something you would be interested in, please continue to read this blog.  I look forward to hearing from you in our journey together.
